A powerful 7.9 magnitude earthquake has struck around 90 km east of Pokhara on a Saturday afternoon. Due to this massive earthquake, many places in the neighboring country of India has felt tremors ranging from 4-6 in magnitude. In India, Bihar being the closest has felt some of the strongest tremors. It is being reported that there has been widespread damages in Nepal with reports of collapsed buildings and 2 people dead. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called for an emergency meeting at 3 pm this afternoon and has spoken to the President of Nepal as well as the CMs of Bihar and Assam. Some of the Indian cities where tremors have been reported are Delhi, Ranchi, Kolkata, Jaipur,Guwahati as well as Siliguri.
